
Leo Manzano Hopes for Repeat of 2012 Success at This Year’s Olympic Games

Four years ago, Leo Manzano ran into history by taking the silver medal in the 1,500 meter race at the 2012 London Olympics. But this Olympic cycle hasn’t gotten off to the start he had hoped for. In February, Manzano fell ill with pneumonia and had to miss the entire indoor season. He’s time in the 800 meter race at the 2016 Texas Relays was three seconds off his record pace from the year before.
Still, Manzano is confident that he can and qualify for a third-straight Olympics.
